Promoting Affiliated Clubs and the BMFA
Every year the area attends a number of events to promote model aircraft flying and also supports clubs that are attending events. From large public events, to model flying shows right through to country fairs and village fetes. We often need volunteers to hep and we can also assist you if you are planning on promoting model flying at events.

There are many waterplane events in the Area throughout the year, and they are available for all BMFA and SAA members to attend.

Cumbernauld Fly in 2023
Well done Callum Diaplo for winning the Lew Weaver trophy 2023 at Cumbernauld fly in, an up and coming pilot and skilled well beyond his 15 years of age, already in position his silver certification and looking to get his LMA certification.
Another winner on the Saturday for the the Alan Ward Trophy was John Lang for skilled and realistic scale flight of this Jet, John is another young skilled pilot in both planes and Helicopters and both pilots are a credit to the flying club.

All area meetings are now conducted using Zoom, no more travelling, represent your club from the comfort of your own home!
The Area Zoom account is also available for affiliated clubs to hold online meetings, click below to request a Zoom booking.
